Over the past three (3) years our Chamber has become an active partner in the social and economic development of our region. As part of the Lac La Biche County Regional Economic Development Authoriity, the Chamber is working towards advancing the cause of small businesses as we serve the interests of our customers and communities.
Your Board of Directors have devloped a strategic plan for the operation of the Chamber and will taking an active role in putting these goals into action. I ask all of you to look our our four (4) goals and then to get involved in at least one that strikes a passion for you. This is an exciting time of opportunity for all of us and by taking a proactive approach we will ensure that the dreams and aspirations of our businesses, communities and people will be realized for our children and grandchildren.
Working with our sister northeast Alberta Chambers of Commerce we are striving to create a collaborative partnership of communities being impacted by the rapid and high growth stresses of Oil Sands development. I believe this partnership will enable us to develop solutions to our communities' common problems and then obtain the resources needed to implement these solutions.
If you belong to the Chamber, get involved in one of our projects; if not, join us and become part of our exciting journey to sustainable prosperity. Together we can seize the opportunity before us and grow Lac La Biche into both a thriving service center for the Oil Sands industry and a recreational destination for the one million people living in Edmonton
